My name is Emily Speck and I am going into Mechanical Engineering.  I love reading, playing with my two dogs, Frodo and Snickers, and hanging out with my friends.  I am an upbeat and normally pretty happy person who is always up to playing a board game.  If you ever feel like saying anything to me, feel free to email me or send me a message.


I just graduated high school, where I was very involved.  I was the captain of our school's In The Know and was a huge fan of it.  I met tons of great people there, some of whom I'm still in contact with.  In addition to that I loved being part of our schools book club.  My favorite book we read was Lexicon which talked about the powers behind certain words.  I also enjoyed reading Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ' s Best Friend, Looking for Alaska, and To be or Not To Be.  

During my first semester I became involved with a few organizations.  The first one is my church, the Edge House.  In addition to this, I am part of a group starting up a UC board game club.
