Mad Gods and Marvelous Worlds

What?
In this class I explored ancient Celtic and Scandinavian myths.  We read about various gods and goddesses, old wives’ tales, and mythological retellings.   Additionally, we read Neil Gaimans's book Norse Mythology, which is a retelling of the old myths in a very storytelling fashion.
So what?
This class dedicated a lot of time not just the myths themselves, but the greater ideas behind the myths. We investigated who the myths were written by, the effects of them, and what role the different characters played. An example of this would be our recent discussions on the people on the fringes of society, such as those who are disabled, diseased, unwed mothers, and others that were . We spent time have to look through what does each category of people inspire in the general public and how that shone through miss.

Now what?
The next step for me to apply what I've learned is to critically analyze other pieces of literature. As graduation approaches, as someone who likes to read her plan on reading more and with that I love the opportunity to implement some of the strategies to identify who the writing is 2 Anne why it was written that way. This critical analysis will be helpful in recognizing the importance of a piece of literature.
